Unbelieveable!

I have struggled with Access Connections since I bought my Lenovo T400. It completely ruined the performance of the machine from freezing up everything for many seconds at a time, through incredibly slow startups all the way to blue screens (I am convinced they were caused by AC) .

I have never used a more unreliable piece of malware in my entire working career and I mess around with software all day every day. It is honestly the worst of the worst.

After struggling with it for a year I had decided to uninstall it even if I could find no alternative software to run my wireless broadband. It was that bad that I was willing to forego computing on the move just to get my PC to be more reliable.

Luckily for me your simple solution has allowed me to rid myself of this parasitic virus on my machine and yet still retain my mobile broadband. The Sony-Ericcson software is so simple to use and so reliable I cannot fathom how Lenovo could have gotten their software so horribly wrong!

I am running 2008 R2, after following your steps I still get

Error 734: The PPP link control protocol was terminated

Any thoughts on where to look?

I get “No Mobile Broadband Modem” in the wireless manager 5 the GPS is working though…

Did anyone have it working without installing and then uninstalling TV Access Connections?

The only difference I see in my procedure is that I never had Access Connections on my system (maybe even after Uninstall it leaves some registry, info etc…which make Sony Ericsson Wireless Manger work…

I do not, please help me

It worked! I can’t believe it… this was for sure the last time I bought a lenovo, i’m terribly sorry. After 3 months the fan crashed, than this card that still isn’t supported by lenovo and yadadiyadada… too bad…

I just got the manual dialup working.

I just had to use this string instead.

+cgdcont=1,”IP”,”"
works like a charm.

but your site helped me in the right direction.
